A Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) is a doctor with manual therapy skills. We diagnose and treat patients with health problems effected by the body's musculoskeletal and nervous systems, which includes your joints, muscles and nerves. We also assess how these structures are working together to identify areas where your biomechanical functionality could be improved. Many chiropractors perform manual manipulation/adjustments to the spine and extremity joints to address any dysfunction, allowing for better range of motion, mobility, strength, and often decreased pain levels. Sports Chiropractors (CCSP's) also often incorporate other forms of manual therapy such as IASTM, tape, laser, and provide patients with ergonomic advice and therapeutic exercises to support our work outside of the office.

Unlike medical doctors, chiropractic doctors do not prescribe medications. Chiropractors go through a 4+ year graduate program to receive their Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
